We are very happy to announce that our group secured two funded PhD positions as part of #shu Graduate Teaching Assistants scheme. Both involving the use of IoT concepts and technologies in multidisciplinary settings.

A Smart Ecosystem Monitoring Platform for Long-term, Multifunctional Landscape Climate Adaptation Research aims to research and develop a smart software platform that integrates geographical and mapping systems, existing datasets and available national data sources (via API) with a planned network of sensors deployed across the landscape to enhance real-time monitoring, predictive modelling and post-hoc evaluation of environmental interventions informing practical environmental management actions towards goals of climate adaptation, resilience and nature recovery in the Sheffield Lakeland landscape. An IoT-based platform to support Just-in-time adaptive interventions for high-performance sport leaders aims to build a cutting-edge platform together with mobile applications and intelligent IoT services, to monitor stress and wellbeing of elite sports leaders.
We are looking for someone with strong software engineering skills, is passionate about multidisciplinary research and eager to accept the challenge of developing cutting-edge software solutions while interacting with a variety of stakeholders.
